YCSD HOLDS COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON DRESS CODE

The Youngstown City School District will hold a series of community stakeholder meetings to discuss and clarify the dress code policy and answer any questions families and community members may have.
 

EAST PANTHERS PREPARE FOR HOMECOMING GAME

School spirit is gearing up in the Youngstown City School District as the Youngstown East Panthers prepare for the homecoming game where they will play against the Austintown Fitch Falcons! The game is this Saturday, September 24, at the Rayen Stadium, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pre-sold tickets are $4 and $6 at the gate.
 

CEO Mohip Invited to White House for Special Meeting Supporting Girls of Color

The Youngstown City School District is thrilled to announce that Krish Mohip, Chief Executive Officer, and Dominque Howse, Director of Student Services, are invited to The White House to join a multidisciplinary team of up to eight representatives from Ohio to attend Trauma-Informed Approaches in School: Supporting Girls of Color and Rethinking Discipline. This special meeting will take place at The White House on Monday, September 19, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
 

CEO Mohip Hires New Transportation Director

The Youngstown City School District is pleased to announce that CEO Krish Mohip has hired Collen Murphy-Penk, as the district’s new transportation director. She will begin working for the district as early as next week.
 

Youngstown City Schools Go “PINK” For Breast Cancer Research

 The Youngstown City School District is pleased to announce that on Friday, September 23, 2016, schools will go Pinkto raise money for breast cancer research. On that day, students can be dressed in pink and donate from 50 cents to $2 to help with this important fundraising effort. In addition, pink rally towels engraved with the slogan “East Panthers Support Breast Cancer Research” will be on sale for $2 at East High School to help raise funds.
